I noticed the link for the IBG was broken, so this the right one..
Thansk for the reply..I understand that it is difficult for you to get information on the equivalence of your degree in the Netherlands. Did you ever try to contact the Information Beheer Groep? They must be able to answer your questions. Look under Diploma Assessment. You can also send them an e-mail.
If you ever want to share some more thoughts on this don't hesitate to contact me If you send me a PM I'll send you my private e-mail.
Best of luck to you,
groetjes,
Henrike
Welcome to our Bibliotheek 2.0 community. In the early nineties I lived in Boston, MA and experienced a bit of American librarianship. Though I didn't work in a public library I really likes the experience. I remember that my Dutch library degree was equivalent to a BA. I wanted to get an MLS from Simmons College, but had to turn it down because of the costs..Oh well..
From your personal information I get a feeling that you might be interested in getting a job over here?
Take care
How nice to read of your interest in Dutch Librarianship. The world is flat indeed :-)
Feel free to ask us questions in English in the forum, and if you need a translation: just let us know.
Welcome on the dutch Ning!
